Tip Replacement Procedure
1- The Heat Gun Method
2- The Water Method (Tribe recommendation)

The Heat Gun Method
Replacing your stick tip using a heat gun is the traditional method, but offers more risk. Since the tips are made of plastic, direct heat from the heat gun applied to the tip can easily damage the tip. Tribe recommends to use the Water Method to prevent damages to your stick tips.

- Step 1: What you will need

- Protective gloves
- 1 Heat gun
- Step 2: Heat shaft

Using the heat gun approximately 5in away from the shaft, heat the end of the shaft.
Rotate the shaft every 5-10 seconds to heat each faces evenly.

**Avoid directing the heat on the plastic stick tip. Direct heat on the tip will melt and damage the tip.
- Step 3: Pull tip

Using both hands, while wearing protective gloves, gently pull the stick tip out of the shaft.

The Water Method (Tribe recommendation)
Replacing your stick tip using the water method is the safest to protect your tip from damages.

- Step 1: What you will need

- Protective gloves
- 1 Stove top pot
- 1 Heat resistant pot, ex: Pyrex cup
- Step 2: Boil water

Bring approximately 3 cups of water to a boil on your stove top.
- Step 3: Transfer water

Transfer boiling water in a heat resistance pot.
This step is important to make sure that your stick tip will not be in contact with metal that received direct heat from the stove top.
- Step 4: Stick tip in water

Place stick tip in water making sure that the water level is at least 2in above the tip/shaft joint.

Leave stick and tip in water for 1 minute.
- Step 5: Pull tip

Using both hands, while wearing protective gloves, gently pull the stick tip out of the shaft.
